by Mike Hatfield, the Prevention
Division manages three programs: Fire Prevention, Code Enforcement, and
Disaster Preparedness. This division is responsible for preventing and reducing fire losses, ensuring compliance
with fire codes and city ordinances, and increasing safety for residents,
visitors and business owners throughout the city. The goal of the Prevention
division is to safeguard the city from fire dangers and environmental
hazards through enforcement of fire regulations and public education.
