Operations

Battalion Chief John Muhr heads Cathedral City Fire Department's Operations division combining training and emergency services.  This division manages fire suppression, emergency medical care, hazardous materials management, and specialized response teams. It also includes specialized training in tactics & strategy, command & leadership, apparatus operation, and special equipment operations. 
 

Emergency Medical Services

Over 80% of CCFD's front line personnel are cross-trained as paramedics and are able to provide advanced life support measures. This includes initiating IV fluid therapy, administering a variety of life-saving medications, and providing state-of-the-art resuscitation and immobilization equipment right to the patient's side.  Please visit Riverside County's EMS website for more information on the quality of care offered in Riverside County.
