substantially over the years to the current population just over 50,000 and

The Department

Our department currently operates
three fire stations strategically located throughout the city. Each station
houses and maintains a fire engine and paramedic ambulance available to all
of Cathedral City's residents and visitors
24
hours a day, 7 days a week. Each station is staffed with at least one
paramedic/firefighter ensuring that advanced care arrives on scene within
minutes of an emergency. In addition to fire suppression, CCFD
plays an
active role in fire prevention, code enforcement, and disaster preparedness.
Many of our members are also active with our Hazardous Materials team, SWAT
Medic program, Honor Guard, Wildland (OES) firefighting assignments,
teaching, proctoring, and precepting. Cathedral City Fire Department reports
an ISO rating three.
