Fire Administration

The administration of Cathedral City Fire Department provides direction, oversight, and control to all areas of the department as well as administrative support to all sections. Some of these areas include: records, payroll, purchasing, equipment & facility maintenance, planning and personnel management. In 2008, CCFD personnel will respond to almost 6000 incidents within the 21.2 square miles of the city. An incident may be as simple as a false alarm in a commercial  occupancy to a  greater alarm structure fire with assistance from various other fire agencies.

Staffing includes 52 sworn and non-sworn personnel with at least 12 firefighters on duty every hour of every day. The administration division ensures smooth functioning of all personnel and operations 24/7.
