William M. Soqui / Fire Chief

Can Your Home Be Seen?

In the event of an emergency, every second counts.

By having your residence properly identified, emergency vehicles can find your home without unnecessary delays.

Please review the following key points to keep in mind in regards to your address.

An illuminated address can be seen up to 175 feet.

Always have your address properly illuminated, either by a "back-lit" model or by placing a light above the numbers.

Always use a contrasting color when selecting numbers.

Avoid painting over numbers, this renders them difficult to see in the daylight or at night time.

Replace missing numbers and assure that they are securely attached.

Choose numbers of appropriate size - Address numbers on a residence should be a minimum of 4 inches and 8 inches on a commercial property.

Please contact the administrative offices should you have any additional questions.
